I recently read that skinny is the new trend among singapore youths, no thanks to the likes of some superficial facade-maintainence-driven whackos out there. True, it doesn't pay to be fat. In fact, you pay because you ARE fat- you pay for slimming, pills, fitness-club memberships yadda yadda yakkity yaks. You even pay with your life if obesity crosses into the extreme.
There should be a line between the skinny and the anorexic, yet the line is, unfortunately, a fine one. SKINNY IS SUBJECTIVE. I could be saying, "I'm damn thin can?" And my sister thinks I could flood the nile banks with one toe. In fact, I think the line is so thin (no pub intended) that some ________ teenagers can't even discern between them and end up belching all the way to a destination called 5 feet under.
Is being skinny all that glamorous? I beg to differ. Yes beauty needs something to be hinged upon but it does not have to be skinniness. What's wrong with being normal? or being DELICIOUSLY PLUMP, like me? *grins and bursts out laughing* I am happy the way I am and If I am even deliberating weight loss, it's more for health reasons and anything so superficial as "oh so I can is gettings a lot of boyfrens and is we can be happys togethers." Where's the bloody logic in that?
